SCI Solutions Expands "Online, Community Physician Order" Customer Base

Access Management Vendor Wins Contracts to Streamline Order Processes and Improve Outpatient Volumes

Los Gatos, Calif. – August 23, 2006 – SCI Solutions, the premiere Access Management solution provider for healthcare, today announced it has signed two new Order Facilitator customers. Order Facilitator is SCI's award-winning, Internet-based, web solution for automating orders for hospital services from community physicians.

Children's Health System (CHS), the only children's hospital in Alabama, comprised of Children's Hospital of Birmingham, a 275-bed community hospital with 13 onsite specialty clinics on the main campus and Children's South (outpatient clinic), recently contracted with SCI Solutions to automate its community physician order process. Additionally, Order Facilitator will enable CHS to electronically process the appropriate Medicaid (Patient First) forms required from referring physicians.

According to Linda Benson, Division Director of Access, "CHS chose Order Facilitator to help us overcome the typical problems associated with receiving orders from the physician offices such as lost, incomplete and illegible orders." She continued, "Order Facilitator will also save us money because it will enable all pediatric physician offices located outside the city of Birmingham to send their orders to CHS without encountering the long-distance fax and phone charges."

Northlake Medical Center, a 120-bed community hospital located in Tucker, Georgia consisting of one main hospital, 14 onsite medical practices and an outpatient surgery center, recently contracted with SCI Solutions to gain a competitive advantage with their referring physicians who are using Order Facilitator in their community.

"Our selection of Order Facilitator reflects Northlake Medical Center's commitment to progressively utilizing advanced technology that benefits physicians, patients and staff through a streamlined admissions process, stated Juan Murillo, Patient Access Director. He continued, "We see Order Facilitator as an avenue for opening new physician referral sources as well as recapturing previous ones."

"These new customers not only reflect the increasing importance that online community orders are playing in health systems across the country, but also that Order Facilitator is the solution of choice," stated Stuart Hammond, Vice President of Sales, SCI Solutions. He added, "SCI Solutions is committed to providing cutting-edge technology that facilitates the exchange of medical information between providers."

John Holton, CEO, SCI Solutions, added, "We are pleased with the opportunity to provide our advanced Access Management solutions to help these health systems to streamline their administrative processes, improve their provider and customers' satisfaction and to expedite access to patient care delivery in their respective communities."
